How we design

Start with the inventory, not the catalog.

Good cabinets begin with a list of what has to live in them: pots, wine, shoes, paperwork. We design around that list, then choose door styles and finishes.

  • Roll-out shelves and deep drawers where cabinets would otherwise swallow things
  • Wine storage, from a rack in a glass-front cabinet to a built-in cooler
  • Glass fronts and lighting for display
  • Cherry and other wood finishes, or painted

Cabinetry usually ships as part of a kitchen or bathroom project, but we also build standalone closets and built-ins.

Applications

Where cabinetry goes

  1. Kitchens

Full runs with islands, pantries and appliance panels, plus the counters that sit on them. See countertops and flooring.

  2. Bathrooms

Vanities sized to the room, in finishes that stand up to moisture.

  3. Closets

Walk-in and reach-in systems with drawers, hanging at the right heights and shelves for what you own.

  4. Built-ins & wine storage

Wall units, entertainment centers, bars and wine cabinets that look like part of the house.

Questions

Cabinet questions

Can you match the cabinets I already have?

Often we can come close with stain and door style, but exact matches on older cabinetry are hard to promise. We’ll show you samples at the estimate, and if a match isn’t realistic we’ll suggest a deliberate contrast.

Custom or stock, what’s the difference?

Custom cabinets are sized to your room and storage; stock comes in set dimensions with filler where it doesn’t fit. We show you options at different levels and different suppliers, with the pricing in your allowances.

Can you add a wine cooler or glass-front cabinets later?

Yes, and it’s easier if we plan for them now: power, venting and lighting are cheapest to run before cabinets go up.
